Piedmont Collection by Turning House. Piedmont was named in direct reference to the topography between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, early settlers called the area of rolling hills and valleys between the eastern slopes of the Appalachian Mountains and the coastal plain the Piedmont. This area is near and dear to our hearts, as it is where many of Turning House’s founders and creators were born and raised. It is also where our vintage woods grew for untold generations and are now being reclaimed, renewed and reborn as heritage furniture. In our Piedmont Collection, we have chosen to emphasize shape and form, showcasing many of our most curvaceous pieces.
